Mr Sitiveni Hamani, (Forestry Officer) was attend the Pacific Regional Workshop on Forest Monitoring from the 5th to the 9th of December 2017, this workshop was held at Port Moresby, PNG. This workshop purpose is to share the achievements and challenges of forest monitoring in Pacific Island Countries and to introduce and provide hands on trainings on FAO forest monitoring tools including Open Foris an SEPAL.
The outcome of this workshop will enable participants including Tonga to have assistance and capacity building needs on national forest monitoring in Pacific Islands and support have a draft action an support plan on national forest monitoring of Pacific Island Countries.
This workshop was fully funded by FAO.
Mr. Sitiveni Hamani complete this workshop and return home safe and sound and continue his task at the Ministry.
